Hi Shaun,
Sorry mate i didnt know it was you i was talking too earlier, if i had known that i would have liked to thank you for getting back too me regarding splitting a 25 kg order.
Firstly i left a email last year regarding the up and coming B8 launch and said i would let you know its outcome. I can say it surpassed every thing i hoped it would... i had a new uk pb of 44lb 04 oz on it and a shed load of 30s and with the mix of rahja spice as a back up i have only gone one session in 12 months leaving the bank without fish.
In France i have only kept to one bait company when deciding on which bait too use – Quest. I spent two weeks at st christophe , it was hard but i seem to have the edge over some of the other anglers being top rod for the two weeks. Sadly i seem to miss out on the 40-50s but i did manage 30s , sadly thats part of the game.
As i said before , its nice to have that extra touch that you supply , and i hope you carry on supplying top notch baits , but i know you will , so no worries their .
Good luck for 2009 regarding you fishing and keep it up .
Tight lines, George Little

Just a quick note to say thank you for your prompt delivery of my order
(Rahja Spice 15 and 10mm boilies + pellets + paste).
I must also say that your bait is the best bait I have seen or used in
years, and I have used some bait in my time.
In terms of quality you stand miles in front of everyone else.
Once again thank you.

Dear Shaun
You may or may not recall I emailed you earlier this year about your 'Ramblings' blog where you talked about the joys of catching carp on glass rods. I'm still trying to get a 'good-un' on the Hilton rods, but it'll happen. I stalked a low-double common in an overgrown corner of the local lake at the beginning of August - and caught it on a freelined kidney bean - but I've had nothing bigger on them yet.
Anyway, I'm writing this because I've just seen a clip on Youtube of you catching a lovely twenty pound winter mirror and I have to say it's one of the most enjoyable fishing sequences I've ever seen. No flashy music, no award winning camerawork (no offence to Gareth!) no macho grunting or wistful sentiment - just plain old fashioned enthusiasm tempered with English reserve. Excellent work both of you.
I also saw your clip on tying the combi-rig - which I've started using again since I saw your piece on the Questbaits website about it - and seeing it demonstrated certainly helps explain how you go about it.

I attach a photo of a carp caught last weekend - on modern gear I'm afraid (if Simpsons Eclipses and 4000GTs count as modern!) - from Yateley North Lake. Two significant things about this fish; firstly, it's my biggest ever at 22lb 2oz, and secondly it was caught using your version of the combi-rig. Bait was a mini tiger nut tipped with a red artificial maggot.
So I've two very good reasons to thank you.
Kind regards
Graeme

Hi all, just a quick note really... just want to say how fantastic your web site is!! You really should win an award if there is such a thing?..keep up the good work.
all the best.
Joe

Hi Shaun
I would like to comment apon your site if I may as it is the best that I have come across, by miles. I have been specimen angling since the seventies and have been totally immersed in carp fishing since the early eighties. I am fanatical about my angling and have fairly consistant captures from some of the hardest waters around. I have managed a tackle shop and a well known bait company (Cotswold Baits) in years past. So I guess I am qualified in a small way to congratulate you on a very, very good web-site. I haven't tried your bait products as I tend to put my own together and roll them myself so I cant comment on them but I'm sure that they will do the "bizz" due to the fact that it seems you have a down to earth appreciation of what makes a decent bait and how best to use it. To me that's proper bait knowlege.
Anyways, I thought that I would let you know that I think that your site is absolutely bang-on and is very enjoyable, informative, and entertaining.
Tight lines and best regards,
Glen.

Dear Marc,
My name is Andrew Winship and I was the winner of the Quest Bait competition from the March 2008 edition of Total Carp.
I have just returned from the holiday and wanted to write to thank you, along with Quest Baits, for what turned out to be a great trip. I did not catch a huge amount of fish but did break my personal best three times landing 13 fish up to 37lb 4oz. I also met some nice people and learned a lot from watching other anglers who were more experienced than myself.
Once again thank you.
Andrew

Hi ya Shaun
I’d just like to say well done on your ad campaign in the mags at the moment. I’ve worked in sales, marketing and recruitment for over 20 years and have written ads for blue chip companies such as Birdseye Walls.
I was wondering did you go to a marketing company?
All the best

Dear Shaun and team,
Thanks for keeping me informed regarding my order. Ii received it today and they arrived still frozen. Also thanks for the samples - not many company's supply gifts, it makes everything that little bit more personal.
Will let you know how i get on with Liver B8, been looking forward to trying a good liver bait and now I think I have found it. Plenty more orders on way in future and will pass you details on to my fellow anglers.
I therefore called them noboylies & got around
the boilie ban. Anyway I fished a small lake near Paddock Wood in Kent & had a great day, nothing big (probably 15lb max) but I had 11 carp
out on my own bait so I was well pleased. Even at that size I got
excited every time the buzzer went off. Also with my ticker problems
my heart was pounding but the day out did me good I was however
knackered when it was time to leave. However it was great fun and
enabled an old codger like me to get out & enjoy myself for a few
hours. So many thanks for your help & advice with my bait rolling. It
was very much appreciated
