Hard Hook Baits
Standard mix boilie bottom baits with added ingredients to make them harder, thus resisting the attentions of nuisance fish for longer and giving you the confidence to leave it out there. Not so hard as you can’t get your needle through but harder than the standard boilies!

Paste
Paste has so many different uses. You can wrap it around a standard boilie to increase flavour leakage - a favourite method of mine during the cold winter months.

Try it on its own moulded around a bead or a button on the hair, flattened to flutter down and gently rest on silt or silkweed. Or use it to make your own hook baits in whatever buoyancy you want, simply by moulding it around a polystyrene or cork ball then boiling it. Your own pop-up looking identical to your freebies!

Another favourite of mine is to mould some paste around a standard boilie then drop it in boiling water for just a few seconds. This forms a light skin giving excellent flavour release, followed by the boilies inherent flavour leaking through after longer in the water.

With so many options it's only your imagination that will limit your use of paste.

Combination Hooker Bait Set

This is an idea I saw several years ago and still use to this day. It comprises of a clear plastic tube containing four separate bait pots. These can be used for carrying glugs, dips or an assortment of different hook baits.

The problem with most of the glug pots I've used in the past is that they are prone to leaking. This is usually caused by getting a drop of liquid in the threads of the screw cap - it then manages to work its way around the thread channels and out of the lid. By placing the tubs in an outer tube you stop all of that irritating spillage contaminating everything else in your kit.

We supply these tubes with four empty pots for filling with your own combination of baits... or if you tell us the size and type of Quest bait you're using we'll supply you with a kit containing the appropriate glug, dip, pop-ups and hard bottom baits.

Snowman Bait Set

This Snowman Bait Set contain 2 x tubs of pop-ups (10mm & 15mm) and 2 x tubs of matching bottom baits (10mm & 15mm) to use in snowman presentations.

This gives you the option of 10mm and 15mm presentations, or a combination of the two. The bottom baits have been glugged in a liquid food source which has been blended to compliment each bait and remains PVA friendly.

We believe these to be the perfect answer for the angler wanting to try new bait without having to purchase lots of different products. Everything is in the tube to allow you to experiment with various different presentations. We’ve even added a mini ‘Hints and Tips’ booklet to give you a few ideas to try.

Through my writing I’ve often put anglers off dosing their winter baits up with strong synthetic flavours. This is why we’ve opted to use a very subtle food glug on the bottom baits rather than an ‘in your face’ type of flavour.
