If it’s something a little different to the norm’ you’re after then maybe this is it... a small crumb type carpet feed of around 2mm diameter. The Micro Feed gives a steady flavour leak off but still remains in the crumb like state rather than breaking down into dust. Resembling coloured fish spawn in appearance this really is worthy of attention.

Micro Feed is a very versatile bait which can be used in many different situations. I had originally created this bait in an attempt to attract fish which were pre-occupied on eating spawn. It’s a problem I’ve come up against many times in my fishing career where the carp can seem almost un-catchable as they simply browse through the spawn beds of various species including their own.

Micro Feed looks like coloured fish spawn and is very much a groundbait rather than a pellet, so it gets around the various pellet bans we see crop up these days. Fish love to eat it and we even sell a lot of it to the match anglers as it’s possible to hook it on a tiny hook.

It is ready to feed straight out of the tub but there are a few things I like to do with it which only take seconds in preparation;

Originally I used it as a method mix presenting my own little spawn bed in the lake. To allow you to use it as a method mix or indeed to form catapult friendly balls you will first need to damp the Micro Feed down with water. I do nothing more than dip an empty bucket in the lake then pour the Micro Feed into the bucket of water so that the Micro Feed isn’t quite covered. Leave it to soak for a few seconds then take a handful and squeeze off the excess water. Work the ball between your hands a few times squeezing every last bit of liquid out and you will find it holds together in a ball which can then be catapulted or used as a method mix.

Once the ball of Micro Feed hits the bottom it will start its magic process of bubbling and starting to break away back into its original Micro Feed/spawn form. Drop a bit in the edge and see for yourself. Even after a couple of days in the water you will still have tiny separate spawn type pieces on the lake bed – that is if the fish haven’t visited your swim of course!

Another method I have had great success with is by using it in conjunction with our Maximum Action Pellets in stick mixes. This was successful for me this last winter. The Maximum Action Pellets are made to break down fast giving a soup type effect in the water whilst the Micro Feed remains there giving visual stimulation as well.

These are my two preferred ways of using the Micro Feed but already we are getting lots of different feedback from anglers doing different things with it such as soaking other liquid foods into it etc. So, although I originally made this to help my catches at spawning times it has proven to be a much more versatile bait catching carp during every month of the year.

There are three different options available;

  • Fishy Micro Feed – Brown with a seafood smell

  • Fruity Micro Feed – Red with a smooth summer fruit and cream smell

  • Spicy Micro Feed – Yellow with our famous Rahja aroma (Indian curry).
